About Zen Chair
Zen Chair South Africa was started in about 1998 in response to a need for backrests in a meditation school. It grew organically into a small business supporting a small team of sewers and myself, a Cape Town based woman.
Since then our range has expanded to offer 3 versions of the backrest seats to support you during meditation or when enjoying a picnic or any outdoor activity.
We now supply Galileo Open Air Cinemas, Boschendal Picnics, Spier Picnics and have branded backrests for schools, sports clubs, picnic and events companies.
We have created bespoke backrests for retreat centres like Bhodi Khaya in Stanford, the Art of Living Foundation and many smaller meditation schools and therapists who do group work.
We are committed to providing excellent quality products and do not compromise on that commitment.
